The Chaudhary Charan Singh University was once also known as the Meerut University. The Chaudhary Charan Singh University was set-up in the year 1965 to provide for the call for higher education in region of western U.P (Uttar Pradesh). The Chaudhary Charan Singh University celebrated silver jubilee in the year 1991. Currently, the Chaudhary Charan Singh University is one of the renowned institutions of education in India, covering a huge pollution free and a beautiful campus that spreads across more than 222 acres, and boasts of huge experimental fields and playgrounds, a rose garden, botanical garden, indoor stadium, gymnasium, hostels for girls and boys, a great library, a spacious auditorium, an administrative block, community centre, a guest house, residential areas for employees and faculty members, a medical centre, canteen, post office and a bank.

The Chaudhary Charan Singh University boasts 5 faculties along with twenty two sponsored by UGC and thirty five job oriented/self-financed courses that are operated in the University’s campus. The Chaudhary Charan Singh University has about two fifty two professional institutions/colleges and about a hundred nine colleges along with one component college affiliated to it.
